Tea Ceremony on Japan’s Girls’ Day 

We held a Tea ceremony to celebrate the Japanese Girls’ Day “Hinamatsuri” at our office on 23rd February.  Hinamatsuri is celebrated on 3rd March every year in Japan. On this day, families pray for the healthy growth and happiness of young girls in their families and exhibition Hina dolls in their house.

Seventy students from Cairo Univ., Ain Shams Univ., Misr Univ. and JF Cairo‘s Japanese Courses enjoyed Japanese green tea and sweets within a traditional atmosphere.  Other guests, like Mr. Mohamed Mandour (famous Egyptian potter, President of Urasenke, Egypt), Mr. Harun Syaifullah (Embassy of Indonesia), Mrs.Tagarid Alafa(presenter of ERTU) and Dr. Yoshikazu Urata (Visiting Professor at Cairo Univ.) & his spouse, also attended the ceremony.
