The Japanese Film Week 2016 – Report
The Japanese Film Week was held on 19, 21, 22 and 24th March 2016. We screened five of the most recent Japanese films which were well-received by the audience, especially the film Like Father, Like son. Although we had to reschedule some of our screenings due to the incident in Areesh on 20th March, and the subsequent cancellation of all cultural events on that day by the Cairo Opera House, we are glad to say it only affected attendance very slightly since many people were enthusiastic about attending the film screenings.
We thank all those who came, and we look forward to presenting you with more films to introduce Japanese culture and society, both traditional and modern.
